MINDS-SPACE was conducted in February 2011. The theme was “Back to Future”
MIND SPACE is purely academic 2 days event for MMS & MCA student. The Institutes magazine “LORE” was published on the same day. The eminent speakers form industry shared their experiences & knowledge with the students. 1st day event is for MMS students which includes Seminar in first half session & case study competition in second half session of the programme.
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Kishori Satam & Mr. Suhas Bapat.
2. Genesis 2011
Genesis is the Inter collegiate competition, was conducted on 2nd, 3rd & 4th March 2011. The theme for Genesis was “Back to School”. It was 3 days activity which included Sports activity, Cultural activities & academic games. This was conducted in the Institute premises. Top Colleges of Mumbai & Thane participated in this festival.

3. Induction 2010
- The Induction programme conducted for MMS MCA students on 24/7/2010. The session was inaugurated by Prof. M. Natarajan & has given insights & guidelines to new comers. MMS & MCA co-ordinators introduced all the Faculty members.
- Management games were conducted by senior students & winners got prices.
4. Guest Lecture on Supply-chain Management
Mr. Zubin Sethna (Business Consultant), BE, MBA was invited for the above topic he has worked with Godrej for 9 years in the field of production management.
The lecture was conducted in the institute for MMS & BMS students.The importance of supply-chain management was stressed & it was very lively session wherein the students participated enthusiastically in the question answer session. He also stressed on the importance of SCM in today’s competitive world & the right approach to be adopted towards the same.
5. Teacher's Day 6/9/2010
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on September 6, 2010 at the Auditorium. The entire faculty consisting of MMS, MCA and also non teaching faculties were felicitated.
6. Student development Programme
The STP aims to assist students in making positive & informed personal, life & career related discussions. A variety of services & programmes are offered for students to help , promote personal, intellectual, social & cultural development outside the classroom.
Mr. Arun chitalangiya & his group played tremendous role in sheaving this aim by his programme. They shared many lessons from corporate. Students appreciated his transparency & honesty. He & his team revealed powerful, practical & proven techniques & strategies that helps students to deal with issues that are important to them in career growth.
It was 3 days programme, which was “a multi-vitamin does” for overall development for students
7. Faculty Development programme
The FDP was conducted by the IMCOST, Thane at the conference hall of the Institute.The well-known soft skill trainer Mr. Arun Chitalangiya & his associates Mr. Dilip Pinto & Mr. Schin Kamath are invited.
The Techniques of Goal Setting, empathy, Stress Management, Presentation skills are discussed. The purpose of the programme was to develop the faculty with more innovative & interesting techniques to enable the students to enjoy their lectures.
The programme gave an insight to the teaching faculty for improvising on their existing skills and to enable them to be more effective & efficient.
8. Guest Lecture on Strategic management
Guest Lecture on strategic management by Mr. Ganesh Shrinivasan was organized in the Auditorium for MMS students. Seminar focused on Strategic management, which has assumed a lot of importance in the current global business scenario. It is about knowing the market & customers better .Mr. Ganesh has given many live examples from industry to make student understand the concept better.
9. Guest Lecture on career Opportunities in S/W testing
A Guest lecture on career opportunities in S/W testing by Mr. Nilesh Wadkar was Organised on in the auditorium for MCA students. Software testing has assumed a lot of importance in IT profession. Now days, it is bringing lots of career opportunities in reputed MNC. It can be done manually as well as with different testing tools.
The talk was very enlightening & interactive. Students thoroughly enjoyed the lecture & could gather lot of information on the subject.
10. Placement Brochure Inauguration
The Placement Brochure 2010 was inaugurated on 6th Dec. 2010 in Presence of Prof. M. Natarajan, Director IMCOST. The process of placement is started in IMCOST from the month of Sept.2010. Mr. Swapnil Sonje & Ms. Pranali are the coordinators of Placement committee.
