Master's Programme in Information Technology (MBA - IT)
(A course in collaboration with IBM as Partners in Education) - 2 years full time.

Keeping in mind the ASM's aims and objectives to meet the needs of the industry, society and students community, we have conceived the idea of Master Programme in Business Administration Information Technology (MBA IT).) Through MBA IT we create professionals with a melange of IT and Management, which drives the Information Highway today. Due to its autonomous status, MBA IT is able to retain the cutting edge in quality of education imparted. The course also allows the student to opt for either Technical Specialization or Non-Technical Specializations.

Objective :
The main objective in starting the autonomous MBA (IT) course is to develop quality IT professionals. Realizing the revolution and recognizing the advancements and innovations in IT particularly in Software Engineering which has come at "Speed of Thought" a necessity is felt that IT Education, be imparted with a continuously challenging syllabi, dynamic in nature to cope up with the burgeoning demand of the industries. MBA (IT) course is designed with emerging trends in the field of advanced computing and manpower requirements of the IT industries in mind.

Job opportunities :
Communication Software Engineer, Network Planner, Network Designer, Entrepreneurial roles in Computer world as independent business owner, consultants, Suppliers of Systems etc.
Career opportunities exist in areas like : Management, Software, Sales, Technical Writing, Consultant, Training ther on computers, Software Development and terminal support etc.
Application Area : Order Processing, On-line reservations. Banking Support, Decision support and Data Communication.


Eligibility :
Graduates in any discipline or Students who are appearing for final year graduate exams or any Diploma holders. Students who have appeared for final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible for provisional admission

Internship :
The students have to undergo a two months internship after third semester (Jan - Feb) before the end of the fourth semester; the students during this period will have to work on a live project in some industry after Third semester (January-February). The students are encouraged to take up projects on As/400e platform, this being the topic of specialization for the MBA (IT) students.

Admission Procedure for MAT/CAT/XAT/NAT/IIFT/ATMA students
Candidates who have appeared for MAT/CAT/XAT/NAT/IIFT/ATMA will be eligible for admission based on their performance for Personal Interview (PI).
